I got an A on the last Chem test. WOOHOO!! The class is over in a couple days with my last test on Thursday.
Signed up for the NLN today. I will be taking the Nursing school entrance exam on Sept 8.
I hope I can be a good nurse and do some real good for people.

In a couple weeks, I am launching a web business. I have some websites that I am in the final process of touching up and launching. As I am unemployed and have no idea how long I will be that way, I was looking for something that I can do and manage and market from home. The proceeds from my sites will go towards my medical bills with 10% going towards Sarcoma research. I am very excited about launching these but I have a Pre-launch question.

What book or movie made a huge impact on you? Why?
Did your choice change your viewpoint on an issue? or did it give you hours of pure happiness?

If you want to answer, leave me a comment or email me or join my Facebook page.

See what happens when you leave an intriguing question in your post? People are too afraid to answer.

The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand-it was compelling, made me think, reminded me that women are strong and intelligent, and oh so much more. I was a teenager seeking some autonomy in my life. This book made me believe it was possible.

And just so you know, I meant Atlas Shrugged. The Fountainhead was a poor second. Blaming chemo brain for the mistake.

Ha-ha! I love Atlas Shrugged! And when my daughter finally read it she got off her Fountainhead high horse and admitted that Atlas was way better...at least I think she did, or maybe I just dreamed that she said I was right...we're talking about Lydia, here.
Anyway, my favorite book is Many Moons by James Thurber. Funny, simple, with lots of characters whose voices still sound in my head. Then, Pride and Prejudice. Again, the voices in my head. I always enunciate better and speak more articulately after I re-read Austen.
Movies...The Princess Bride, The Lives of Others, While You Were Sleeping, Crash, and it's a toss up between The Music Man or The Sound of Music.
and congrats on your straight A's, by the way.
and whatever you're selling, I'm buying. Oh, please don't let it be expensive.

Oh, and to answer your question...most everything I love to watch or read just gives me hours of pure enjoyment, but usually, enjoyment that last well past the final credits or the epilogue. They are fun to discuss (The Lives of Others), or read to others (Many Moons) or quote (My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die!)
